These calulations and terms are based on the formula presented in the book 'The Millionaire Next Door'. In the book 'The Millionaire Next Door' the authors, Stanley and Danko, explain that a person's total net worth alone does not show one's ability to accumulate wealth. What matters is how much you accumulate compared to your income and your age. Therefore, a 30 year old making $25,000 who has a net worth of $150,000 is a Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth while a 50 year old doctor making $300,000 a year who has a networth $700,000 is an Under Accumulator of Wealth.
